Well this is a nice surprise. The impressively named Castlevania Dominus Collection is out now on PS5. It bundles all three of the Nintendo DS Castlevania titles together into one package, complete with reworked controls to make up for the obvious lack of a touch screen.
In case you need a refresher on the DS trilogy, it includes the superb Dawn of Sorrow, the two-pronged Portrait of Ruin, and the stylish Order of Ecclesia. Oh, and Konami's throwing Haunted Castle Revisited into the mix as well, just for a laugh. It's a hardcore, barely-known Castlevania-like title from the depths of the publisher's retro catalogue.

Glad Konami didn't give up on the DS titles after all. Nice surprise today.
Ohh my more Castlevania games? Well don't mind if I do 😍. Heard alot of good news from fans regarding the DS releases. Can't wait to play it.
Dawn of Sorrow is GOATed.
Automatically purchased. This is a great collection of classic games!
Not the announcement I expected today, but I'm thrilled. The DS Castlevania era is probably the most consistently good for the series, and seeing it get a second life is great.
I play them regularly as a Castlevania zealot/fanatic and I will play them again ... and again ... ah yes! AND AGAIN!!!
@Melee_Ace I'm still hoping for Konami to release a remastered version of the Lord of Shadows games. Such an underated Castlevania series.
I was waiting for this collection to finally play the ds castlevanias so hyped. Don't know what to buy 1st rn this or the monster hunter stories games 🥹
I will buy this only if Limited Run Games publishes an extremely expensive edition filled to the brim with various cheap plastic items
I love Order of Ecclesia. Played it on NDS emu and i tried to find a physical copy with reasonable price so i can played it on my 3DS. But i can't find one 😔
I've never played any of them but seeing how many collections there are is daunting. Are these games very long?
This is so huge! I've heard great things about the DS Castlevania games but I've never gotten around to them due to how expensive second-hand copies are. I'm absolutely buying this!
Having never played them before, I bought a IPS/backlight modded GBA and (unmodded) DS and all the original carts back in September 2019 and ploughed through all sequentially in about six months before flogging the lot back off again. I rolled the credits on OoE just as Covid was becoming a reality.
Great there's a much easier (official) way for people to now play all six of them on modern systems.
Will buy this (and first Advance collection for either PC for Steam Deck or Switch.)
@breakneck
Not really. I remember beating Harmony of Dissonance in particular in two days. So short, that one.
Wait, NO PS4 release?
Great to see Konami gradually coming back, now all we need is a collection with the PS2 titles.
I hated the stupid magic seal mechanic in Dawn of sorrow.
Finally got around to playing the Advance Collection this past Spring so I'm in need of some new Castlevania games. These and their soundtracks will do nicely.
MUST BUY! Nintendo Direct also announced Trails remaster. Awesome.
@Zuljaras curious, how do you feel about Odallus, Bloodstained, or Lords of Exile? I love them all, and think Odallus is basically perfect.
@anoyonmus
yeah seems complete madness by Konami not releasing on PS4 maybe it might come later, guess they don't want the money unlike capcom who are doing it the right way. Given this is on switch it's not a hardware issue cutting out half your user base for a re-release seems a pretty big error on their part. Given they could have just done PS4 as all PS4 games release now must run on PS5.
@Leon_93 That's what I'm hoping for, I think nearly every Castlevania game has been rereleased in recent times so here's hoping.
@LikelySatan Never heard of Odallus, Lords of the Fallen did not grow on me and I have to try it again. As for Bloodstained RotN it is average at best for me. Curse of the Moon 1 and 2 are fantastic!!!
Excellent games and I was a fool to sell them given the increasing resale value on the originals
@Leon_93 I hear you, but I think the PS2 titles might be next if they're going to remaster more. But both those and the Lord of Shadows are a whole different ballpark remaster-wise from what we got so far.
@Leon_93 Same! I thoroughly enjoyed both of them!
why not PS4, Konami?
…and downloaded.
@Rob_230 Same here although I never did have Portrait but I had the other 2. Sold them for 35 a piece but no idea what they may be worth now. I'm just happy with my sealed Ocarina of Time that ingot for £5 years back.
Anyway, these are brilliant games and thanks to Push Square I'm buying this instantly. Loved the last collection, they are just so much fun to play and I was hoping for this ever since the GBA collection came out over 4 years ago.
The Castlevania series needs to be revived.
I bought each Castlevania collection day one so if they don't release it on ps4 sooner or later I will be pissed.
@Zuljaras Yeah I mostly meant the CotM games. Lords of Exile is a recent classic Castlevania. Odallus is also a classic style Castlevania game. From Joymasher.
Dang I thought that ending was teasing a new version of Castlevania Harmony of Despair
