@Malaise what came with the Witcher 3 CE that you missed out on?

A lot of games I've ended up really liking I've played way after release, so collector's editions have never been on my radar, and I don't particularly like a lot of clutter anyway. I always appreciated when games had a well made map and manual included though, and part of why I found it easy to move away from physical games is because barely anyone bothers to add anything to regular releases any more, just a piece of paper with a website printed on it and an empty box these days.

I'm going to copy this across here for anyone interested.

This is the KCD larping sword, It does look pretty good quality for a bit of moulded fibreglass and foam 😛

I am a little tempted to go for it, but real 15th and 16th century sword replicas can be forged from steel for not overly excessive money too, and they look so goooood

@Ravix I agree, it was nice to flick through the manual and sometimes there'd be a nice map, some art cards or stickers. I honestly couldn't tell you the last time I bought a physical game, though, not that it'd do me any good with my digital PS5.

I also can't stand clutter. It really bothers me a bit mentally. I'm always walking around cleaning and tidying, straightening things and organising. My home almost looks like nobody lives there. 😅

This was the Witcher 3 CE. Came with a cool looking statue and some other gubbins.

I have to say, the sword is very cool. 230 for a foam replica is a bit mad, though!

@Malaise @Ravix The one and only super expensive collectors edition I got was for Elden Ring. It would need to be something really special for me to fork out that much again.

I got a few smaller editions previously, the ones I remember is the first DLC for The Witcher 3 which game with physical gwent cards and board. The other one was for Life is Strange with game with stuff like the soundtrack on cd and Max's diary. I don't think I have any of it anymore though.

@JohnnyShoulder yeah, I'm only going for the KCDII one because KCD is a game that resonated with me, and the collector's edition isn't too gamey.

The witcher one does look nice, part of my recemt sword swooning has been looking at actual steel witcher swords too 😅😅 Totally justifiable, right? Right?! I think some of the only game merch I own is a giant Witcher bound comic collection tbh. And it's too heavy to read that often 😂

@Ravix Totally justifiable! 😬

I got a some design works books for Dark Souls 1, 2 and Sekiro. They are really cool and I would like to complete the set, but they can be hard to come by these days.
